2016 is only going to ramp up the trend of comic book movies that's been running strong for about a decade now with Deadpool and the Suicide Squad gracing the silver screen throughout the year for the first time but both Marvel and Warner Bros/DC are bringing some folks back that we've all seen before. The biggest Marvel movie of next year will no doubt be 'Captain America: Civil War'.
This blockbuster promises to bring in all of your favorite characters from the MCU, or at least it feels like it, with the opposing sides battling it out at some point. This presents an interesting question of who are the pro and antagonists? One would assume that you will be rooting for Cap by the end of the movie but I'm not sure it will be so cut and dry.
Thunderbolt ross appears to be the one who introduces the idea of heroes revealing their identities that Cap rebels against and leads to a confrontation with some other Avengers. This trailer gives us the tone of the movie which looks to continue what The Winter Soldier did before it with the Russo brothers returning to direct. We'll also see the return of familiar faces in Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, Robert Downey Jr, Anthony Mackie and more and the introduction of Chadwick Boseman as Black Panther who looks incredible by the way.
Civil War is released this May and will follow the box office wave likely started by Batman and Superman less than two months before.
