The First Trailer For 'American Crime Story: The People VS O.J. Simpson' Is Here And I Still Can't Wait

We reported here when the first teasers were released for FX's upcoming 'American Crime Story: The People VS O.J. Simpson' and the first full(ish) trailer is now here. This quite short trailer is still a trailer as we get an idea of the story, which we already know, and more importantly the tone. Plus, we get a glimpse of this stacked, stacked cast in their period makeup and all.

Did you watch it? Good! Let's go.

This story is bananas enough in real life even before any dramatic flourishes are put on it by Ryan Murphy and his creative team so I really can't wait to see what they've cooked up. That's not to say that I don't recognize the real life tragedy as it is terrible what happened but this certainly isn't the first dramatic take on someone else's real life tragedy. With Mr. Simpson himself along with Robert Shapiro, Marcia Clark, Robert Kardashian and John E. Cochran all being portrayed by very talented actors, the excitement only keeps on cooking. Plus, who knows, maybe this will be Cuba Gooding Jr.'s return to form after a few years of forgettable performances.

Ryan Murphy's run of success is still in full swing so let's all keep our fingers crossed that there are no stumbles taking place here in this show. With a stacked cast, plenty of talent and a source material that needs very little flair added we should all be in for a treat. With a premier date of February 2nd, 2016, audiences will have a nice little distraction from the pain of waiting for a certain little HBO show that returns this spring.
