First Full Length 'Spectre' Trailer Gives us Bond, Cars, Guns, Women and Thrills Aplenty

Earlier this week we learned that Sam Mendes will likely be done with the 007 franchise after 'Spectre' is complete which is sad news but this downer was followed up with a spectacular trailer. 'Spectre' is set to be released on November 6th and will see the return of Daniel Craig, Naomie Harris, Ralph Fiennes and bring in the newcomers of Monica Bellucci, Lea Seydoux, Christoph Waltz, Dave Bautista and Stephanie Sigman. Forgive me for not listing the rest of this incredible cast here. One simply does not have enough time.

Bond's 24th outing will see him discover and attempt to reveal the secrets of the organization Spectre while M (Ralph Fiennes) attempts to keep MI6 alive with a political fight. This synopsis isn't nearly as cryptic as this story appears to be in this trailer. We see a visual reveal of Waltz's Oberhauser (Blofeld?) and Bautista's Mr. Hinx who appear to be equal matches for Bond in vastly different ways. We also see the reveal of the different "Bond girls" played by Bellucci and Seydoux who are framed magnificently as Mendes showed us he was capable of in 'Skyfall' when teaming with Roger Deakins. Sadly, Mr. Deakins is replaced by Hoyte Van Hoytema who has proven his skill with cinematography in films such as 'Let the Right One In' and 'Interstellar', so maybe that isn't sad at all.

We'll know soon enough how Mendes' last bout with Bond will turn out and I simply cannot wait. So many great trailers lately, showing us tone and the smallest bits of story or plot. Perfect. But this isn't the time to gripe on over-revealing trailers, this is the time to celebrate James Bond and what looks to be a nice blend of the old and new styles with plenty of action, gadgets, cars and beauty all pushed forward by an intruding conflict with a shadowy villain.
